Financial education in your own language
Nuestro Crédito USA started from a concrete gap: most Spanish speakers in the United States would rather learn about money in Spanish, and very few financial education programmes offer it that way.
We write the guides we wish we had found when we arrived: no jargon, no fine print and no assumption that you already have a Social Security number, a credit history or an open bank account.
This English section covers the same ground for readers who prefer to read it in English, or who want to share a guide with someone who does.

Our principles
Clear before complete
We would rather publish a guide you understand on the first read than an exhaustive one nobody finishes.
Ranges, not invented figures
When a price or a fee changes from one provider to another, we give the range and tell you where to confirm it.
We say what we do not know
If something depends on your particular situation, we say so and point you to the official source or to a professional.
What you will find here
- Credit: how to build a credit history from scratch, with or without an SSN, what moves your score and how long it really takes to rise.
- Cards: which card to apply for first, what a secured card is and how to use one without paying interest.
- Remittances: what a transfer really costs once you add the exchange rate margin, and how to compare providers honestly.
- Banking without papers: which banks accept an ITIN, what documents you need and what to expect at the branch.
How we work
Every guide is written from public sources and from the rules published by banks, providers and federal agencies. Prices, fees and requirements change often, so we give ranges instead of exact figures and we always tell you where to confirm the current number.
We are not a bank, a lender or a licensed financial adviser. Nothing on this site is personalised financial advice: it is general information to help you ask better questions before you decide.
The detail of which sources we use, what we check and what we cannot check is in how we write our guides.
Who is behind it
Guides are researched and published by Nuestro Crédito USA, a small independent project run by Marc González. We use AI tools for drafting and translation, and every figure is checked against its original source before publishing (details in how we write our guides). If you spot an out-of-date figure or something that reads wrong, writing to us is the fastest way to get it fixed.
